Volpi Foods, the St. Louis-based, 4th-generation Italian family-owned and operated producer of specialty cured meats since 1902, announces today a limited-time IPA Beer Salame, using St. Louis-based craft brewery Schlafly Beer’s signature IPA. The new IPA Beer Salame features a unique pairing of Volpi’s signature savory salame with Schlafly’s IPA, a beer drinker’s beer, crafted with hops that deliver a hint of citrus and soft tropical flavors in every bite. The new product will be available in a pre-sliced, 5-ounce package in St. Louis at Schnucks and Dierbergs in early October.
“As two long-standing brands in the St. Louis area, it made sense to partner together with Schlafly Beer. We both focus on a quality product and share in our pride for St. Louis,” says Deanna Depke, marketing manager of Volpi Foods. "While we have infused wine into our salame, this is a first for us to incorporate beer. The IPA Beer Salame is perfect for beer enthusiasts, as well as adventurous consumers looking for something new to try.”
Wil Rogers, director of marketing for Schlafly Beer concurs, “We know that our consumers align with Volpi, and we hope that people will have a lot of fun with the IPA Beer Salame. We hope that consumers will want to experiment with pairing our beers with Volpi’s selection of cured meats. At an approachable 5 percent ABV, our IPA is one of our most popular styles so the IPA Beer Salame makes for a perfect snack to pair with the beer.”
Volpi Foods’ new IPA Beer Salame features Volpi’s cold fermented, slow cured signature salame infused with America’s favorite craft beer – IPA. It’s packaged in thick-cut snackable slices, ready for families, foodies and sports fanatics alike. All Volpi Foods products are made from meats Raised Responsibly™, with only all natural ingredients and no synthetic nitrates or nitrites.
Volpi Foods’ IPA Beer Salame is a limited release, available only at St. Louis retailers Schnucks and Dierbergs while supplies last.
